Free Meet & Greet

Alicia will make a visit to your home to meet yourself and your dog(s).

We will go over the details of their care such as food allergies, previous training, any worries or fears, and make sure that everyone is happy before collecting a set of keys (if needed) and book our first walk!

The Main Event

Our walks last 60 minutes and include:

  • Safe transport to and from home to the walking location

  • All treats and poo bags included

  • Fresh water before and after the walk

  • Training during the walk such as recall, loose-lead walking and good doggy social skills.

  • Positive reinforcement ONLY trainers

Timings

Including pick up and drop offs, walks are scheduled between:

  • Morning walks between 8.30am and 11am

  • Afternoon walks between 2pm and 4.30pm.

What Do We Charge?

Which days would you like your dog to be walked?

Select all days and times that would be suitable for you. If you have no preference please select them all!

What time(s) would you like your dog to be walked?
  • Do you pick up and drop off the dog(s)?
Yes, the price includes pick up and drop off of all dogs which we try to keep at a consistent time with some variation due to traffic flow. We use a crate system to promote calmness in the vehicle and to ensure that dogs can only exit the vehicle one at a time. Car training can be organise prior to group walks to help your dog gain confidence with the set-up.
  • How old does my dog have to be to go to the play centre?
Once a puppy has had both set of vaccinations, they can attend the play centre though we will suggest the most appropriate days, taking into account the other dogs.
  • Do I need to provide poo bags, treats, a lead or anything else?"
We just need your dog, with a suitable harness and an ID tag either on the harness or on a seperate collar. We provide poo bags, treats (we will ask if your dog has any food sensitivities), leads, toys and anything else they may need whilst in our care.
  • How do you ensure my dog's safety?
We do our best to minimise risk to the dog's in our care by; Matching suitable dogs each day Having all dogs on lead when walking to and from the van Keeping new dogs on a long-line until we have built a relationship and become familiar with their behaviour, likes and dislikes. Practicing recall and disruption of inappropriate behaviour Using custom-made crates in the vehicles Keeping groups small
  • My dog is reactive/nervous/over-excited, can he/she join the doggy play centre?
We can accomodate reactive, nervous and over-excited dogs. We actively work with you to manage and improve your dog's behaviour such as practing good doggy social manners, desensitisation to worrying things, training a dog not to jump up, practicing taking turns, loose-lead walking, waiting before exiting a vehicle and more! Initially I will meet you and your dog to observe his/her behaviour and consider if they can be accommodated adequately in to the group, or if they need a slower integration such as solo or group walks first. Sometimes we can not accomodate an enquiry but we will do our best to help you find a suitable solution.
  • How do I pay you?
Payment can be made via bank transfer to the details on your invoice which you will receive via email. Invoices for the week, are sent the previous Monday and payment is expected by the end of the day. I.E. if your pup is booked in for the play centre on a Tuesday and a Thursday, then payment for is expected by the end of the Monday the week before.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
For regular bookings - once your dog is settled with us and we agree that he/she will attend on certain days each week, thus reserving a spot for them in the weekly rota; then if 14 days notice or more is given, then there is a 50% charge for a missed booking. However, if less than 14 days notice is given, then 100% payment is required. For ad hoc bookings - there is a 100% cancellation fee regardless of notice time. .
  • Do you accomodate ad hoc dogs?
Yes, but we cannot guarantee there will be a space available on your desired day and regular dogs take priority.
  • I want to change my dog's regular days with you, how should I do that?
Please send an email to enquiries@aliciashouseofpaws.co.uk with at least 14 days notice, detailing which days you would like to change to and we will do our best to accomodate.
